Mr. Walls' account ignores certain details, but it is true that I was ultimately responsible for Vash's death. I'm afraid I didn't realize just how drunk he was until I was affected as well. [The implication that Vash had asked and it had all been a mistake... well, if that wasn't true why would Armand suggest it?]

I was too relieved to escape close quarters. [Not that he'd undercut his responsibility in multiple ways.]

[Gojyo hears the implication that Vash, drunk as he may have been, had asked for it. He doesn't necessarily believe it as an explanation, but neither does he dismiss it.

In the end, Gojyo doesn't really care.]

[Armand will likely make it to the Enclosure before Gojyo: he'll see him approaching, raising his cigarette in greeting.]

[Armand is already at the Enclosure, and when he sees Gojyo he leaves the stillness he adopts when nothing is happening to smile at him.]

I hope you are planning to share.

[For a moment, Gojyo considers offering Armand his own cigarette, but ultimately decides this isn't the time for that kind of innuendo if Armand is upset ~~even if Gojyo knows of only one solution to being sad~~. He holds out a fresh cigarette from the package instead, fishing up a lighter.]

[Armand takes the cigarette, tipping his head so Gojyo can light it. Support is appreciated in these dark times. ...He only has one or two solutions to being sad.]

[After lighting Armand's cigarette, Gojyo leans an arm against his shoulder, much the same way he does with Goku and Sanzo (well, before Sanzo pushes him away) as he unlocks the door to the Enclosure.]

So how weird is this movie gonna be?

It is an attempt to capture the expression of an unconscious mind in the face of the insanity and hypocrisy of modern life.

[Which is to say, 'very weird', but Armand has shown him weirder.]

[Armand's lucky he's cute. Enclosure opened to reveal their usual movie theatre setting, Gojyo leaves it to Armand to choose the movie as he goes sit down.]

[Who doesn't like a little surrealist comedy? ...Well, he does make up for it by being cute.

Once he starts the movie, he takes his usual seat next to Gojyo.]

[Gojyo prepares himself for a long hour, but this is an attempt to cheer Armand up, so he won't complain. Even makes an attempt at following the, er, plot of the movie, while leaning lightly against Armand.

Gojyo winces slightly when the puppy is kicked, when the child is shot, when the woman is slapped (for accidentally spilling a drink, what the fuck!), and at a certain moment he can't help but burst out: "Oh come on, don't eat her toes as well!"]

[The movie does work to cheer Armand up. He has a passion for film making that generally puts 'plot' as the least important part, and while not as... inventive as some of the films he likes, the surrealism works for him.

And he finds the movie amusing. What can he say? The hypocrisy works for him.]

To think, I think could've simply lain together the tension would have been unwound.
